Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Fire up the flavor this Cinco de Mayo!





Cocoa Spiced Tortilla Chips! Cut whole corn tortillas into eighths and lay onto a baking sheet lined with foil. Spritz lightly with baking spray and fresh lime juice, then sprinkle with DCD Sweet ‘n’ Spicy Cocoa Rub and bake at 350 degrees for 7 minutes. Flip and repeat until golden brown! 
 
A trio of delicious dips!
- Delicious Savory Dip! Mix 1 part DCD Roasted Chipotle Chocolate Salsa with 1 part sour cream for a zesty dip that’s perfect with our Cocoa Spiced Tortilla chips!
- Sweet Key Lime Pie Dip! Whip together 4 oz of whipped topping with 4 oz of cream cheese and  4 Tbsp. DCD White Chocolate Margarita Mix for a tangy dip that’s perfect with our Chocolate Covered Graham Crackers! Garnish with crushed Cocoa Tequila Lime Brittle for an added crunch!
- Cocoa Guacamole! Mash together 2 ripe avocados with 1 juiced lime, 1-2 Tbsp. Roasted Chipotle Chocolate Salsa and a sprinkle of DCD Sparkling Lime Sea Salt for a kick that is sure to please your taste buds!

Simple Mexican Rice! Heat 2 tablespoons of oil and 2 tablespoons of chopped onions in a large sauce pan over medium heat. Cook onions until tender, then add 1 ½ cups uncooked white rice. Stir rice until golden brown, then add 2 cups chicken broth and 1 cup DCD Roasted Chipotle Chocolate Sauce. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed for a delicious chocolatized dish.

Aztec Brownies! Prepare our signature Truffle Fudge Brownies with a tsp. of cinnamon and ½ tsp. of chili powder added to the batter for a kick that is sure to please the taste buds of your friends and family.

Prepare our Roasted Chipotle Chicken Tacos recipe using tortilla chip ‘scoops’ instead of taco shells for a bite-size appetizer that’ll keep you coming back for more!

I had a fun weekend sampling the new DCD Spring products around town and the taste testers have spoken : )

Valentine's Day Recipe Selections


Mango Sangria
by Dove Chocolate Discoveries



Ingredients:
· 1 bottle dry white wine (Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc work well)
· 3 tablespoons peach schnapps
· 2 packets DOVE CHOCOLATE DISCOVERIES™ Mango Dessert Sauce
· 1 orange, sliced
· 1 lemon, sliced
· 1 lime, sliced
· 5-6 mint leaves
· 3-4 large strawberries, quartered, or 1 pint raspberries
· club or lemon-lime soda and ice, for topping off glasses of sangria at table
Directions:
1. In a large pitcher, whisk together wine, schnapps and Mango Dessert Sauce.
2. Add sliced orange, lemon, lime, and mint leaves to pitcher. Chill sangria in refrigerator for several hours, or overnight.
3. To serve, spoon fruits into glasses, adding a few quartered strawberries or raspberries in each glass. Pour sangria over top of the fruit.
4. Top glasses off with a splash of soda and ice, if desired.
Chef’s Tip:
Substitute sparkling wine for white wine for a delicious Bellini!
MAKES 1 PITCHER, ABOUT 6 GLASSES.



Raspberry Daiquiri Swirled Brownies
By DOVE CHOCOLATE DISCOVERIES






Ingredients
- 1 box DCD Truffle Fudge Brownie Mix, prepared using recipe on box.
- 1 packet DCD Raspberry Daiquiri Mix
- 8 oz softened cream cheese
- 1 egg
Directions:
1. Prepare Brownie Mix batter as directed.
2. In a separate bowl, cream together softened cream cheese, Daiquiri Mix, and egg.
3. Pour brownie batter into prepared 8” baking pan, and drop dollops of Daiquiri cream Mixture on top of the brownie batter one inch apart.
4. Swirl together using a dinner knife. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Cut into 2” squares and serve.



Red Velvet & Merlot Fudge Trifle
by Dove Chocolate Discoveries






Prepare Red Velvet Pancake Mix as directed and bake in a loaf pan at 350 Degrees for 28-32 minutes, or until baked thoroughly. When cool, cut the cake into large chunks.

Prepare White Chocolate Mousse using DCD Mousse Mix and Chef Series White Chocolate.

In a wine glass, layer cake pieces, DCD Merlot Fudge Sauce, White Chocolate Mousse, and
